Zan — The Spirit and the Soul
A RAQS Art Original Production
Zan is a cross-cultural artistic performance that brings Allama Iqbal and William Shakespeare into a poetic conversation on womanhood, identity, and the human spirit. Conceived, scripted, and narrated by Mamoona Shafique , the piece blends poetry, narration, and expressive movement to create a unique dialogue between East and West.
Presented in partnership with the Consulate of Pakistan Birmingham, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, and the Sufi Trust, Zan celebrates shared heritage, timeless wisdom, and the creative strength of women.
